It’s time to register for Vacation Bible School! VBS is Monday July 17th through Friday July 21st, 9am -12pm with the Friday evening program as usual. So Please Save the date if your children will be participating. We are looking forward to seeing you all again this year!
Our program this year is Cokesbury’s Hero Central; Discover Your Strength In God. The children will encounter epic adventures alongside biblical heroes, recognize qualities that make them truly super heroes in God and they will come to understand that God’s Heroes have Heart, Courage, Wisdom, Hope and Power. The theme bible verse for the week is; “Do good, seek peace and go after it!†Psalm 34:14b. The program is designed for children going into pre-school through going i nto grade 6 . If your child has completed grade 6, they are welcome to join us as one of our “helpersâ€. Helpers are required to come to a training meeting on Sunday, July 16th to receive their assignment, program overview, etc. Helpers will also need to wear a red tee shirt during VBS week, so they are easily identifiable as leaders to the little ones.
We will be using email to correspond with you this year and encourage you to do the same with us. You may return your registration forms to us by email or regular mail and then we will be sending you confirmation of registration which will serve as your proof of registration . You will need to bring your confirmation letter to VBS when we begin Monday, July 17th @ 9am. Hopefully this will reduce long lines outside that we have experienced in the past. You will be able to hand us your receipt and your child will be led to his/her station by a “helper.†Please be sure to fill out the registration form completely and use only one registration form per child in your family.
Late registration will be held on Sunday, July 16, 11am to 1pm at the church, however we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible to help us be prepared to give your children the best VBS experience possible.
Suggested donations are $25. Per student (no donations accepted for helpers). If you choose to donate you may mail it to us, or handed to us when you drop off or pick up your children at dismissal time on Monday,July 17th.
