Welcome to Union Church of Lavallette which was the first church in Lavallette. God called me to this church to serve the church and its community in August of 2005. I have numerous degrees in engineering and theology, and loved my time getting my degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. We serve Jesus Christ passionately, and over the years have been referred to as “Oh You are That Church” because we don’t let anything get in the way of worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was saved at age five when I read the words in a Bible given to me by my Sunday School teacher, Miss Violet Shock, who was 91 years old. I read the words from Jesus where He said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Me.” This spoke to my heart and mind. I trusted Jesus that day, and He’s been my Lord and Savior ever since. I have two parents that had strong faith and were a substantial part of my faith walk. I met my wonderful wife, Krista, over 38 years ago. She grew up Catholic but shortly after meeting her, I led her to the Lord. We have been married going on 33 years and love our church family. This pastor and this church are centered on God’s word—the Bible and practice demonstrating the love of Christ to the church, community and world around us.
